Walt: Create an advertisement persuading people to go to the Special Olympics here in Palmerston North. I used MS Publisher to create this poster.To make my poster stand out and grab the readers attention I use bright colours to make my words stand out I found this a challenge because it is hard to find bright colours .Something I enjoyed was making my poster bright and colourful.Something interesting i learnt about advertising was you must make use the 5 w's and 1 h.

My Special olympics movie

Walt: Follow an inquiry process and present out inquiry learning about the Special Olympics using MS Movie Maker. Before making this movie, I looked over the feedback I received last term for my movie about China. Some of the things I took into consideration and tried to improve on when making this movie were speaking louder and clearer. Something interesting I have learnt about the special Olympics during this inquiry is that the Special Olympics is in December on the 2ND to the 5Th. A challenge I found in this inquiry was having a Texas accent because i don't usually have a Texas accent.I overcame this challenge by getting used to it by practising the accent.

Walt:This term Room 3 have been learning about China to celebrate this learning we made a dance.

This is my mandala. I did this on paint. We as a class are doing this for our home-work.

Country life and Bity life and buildings.

Walt: follow an inquiry process

This term we have been learning about China, we have continued building on the inquiry skills we have learnt in term 2. We brainstormed open questions as a class and then delegated these out to pairs.

The part of China Cindy and I were finding out more about was Country life and city life and buildings. We found our information on the Internet and from books. We used a data chart to make sure we triangulated all our information so we knew it was true. We then used Movie Maker to present our inquiry.

Something I enjoyed was working with with Cindy and adding humor to our movie and at the end when all the class wacth the movie and thought it was funny and a cool movie. My next learning step in inquiry is to remember were i saved my movie and to have patience when the movie is uploading and to remember to be loud and clear when i am speaking and make sure that i am holding the camera still and corectly.

During week 1,we had a verietiy of learning experiencesto tune us into ideas about our new big question for this term-how are cultures and tradtions exspressedthough dance? We had a performance from the boys high pacifica group,a performance from st peters pacifica group and the drumming workshop. I enjoyed the drumming workshop the most becouse it had different sound.
